Our mission is to use sports as a tool to promote smoother adaptation to life in North America, to offer a moment of recreation, and to teach universal human values — regardless of culture, country of origin, or religion.

Through basketball, we can learn to communicate in the world’s most widely spoken language, while also embracing Spanish and our native languages. We hope to be a strong support system for many families who see basketball as a healthy and meaningful habit for children and youth in this new era.

Our vision is to create a community recreational center where people of all ages can discover and develop their talents and skills. We want to be a safe and inclusive space offering access to professional support in both physical and mental health.

We’re proud to have a dedicated team of educators and physical coaches ready to help develop sports programs in the best possible way.

We are also working to strengthen our humanitarian support through volunteers who are committed to helping the entire community.

What started as a basketball school — Raccoons — has become the seed of something greater. We hope this project grows to support other sports that interest the migrant community, and why not, even become a platform for potential athletes who may one day earn college scholarships offered in this country.

Raccoons is open to receiving all forms of support to help us grow and achieve the many goals we’ve set. We are fully committed to this project and we know many people will benefit from it.
